Rivers State Launches Road Map To Mitigate The Effect Of Flooding

The 2023 Road Map of the Rivers State Government to lessen the impact of flooding in the state was launched today by the Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Odu.


A large number of monarchs, political figures and the chairmen of the 23 local government areas attended the ceremony, which was held on the pitch of St Paul’s State Primary School in Ahoada, Ahoada East Local government Area, Rivers State.

The Governor has prioritised early preparedness and being proactive in kicking off the process of reducing the effects of floods in the State. It is encouraging to see the haste and meticulous preparation being put into planning for any flood-related situations.
